This policy explains how Hired3 collects, uses, and shares data to run our Web3 hiring platform. We describe the specific data we store based on the features you use.
Who is responsible
Hired3 is the data controller for personal data processed on this site. You can contact us at privacy@hired3.com.
Information we collect
- Account and authentication: email address, one time passcode hashes, passcode attempts, and token version metadata.
- Profiles: candidate name, location, and links (github, linkedin, portfolio), plus company profile name, website, logo, brand color, bio, and socials.
- Job posts: title, company, location, work mode, experience, category, tags, salary and currency, logo, and brand color.
- Applications: candidate email, resume URL, cover letter text, answers to application questions, application status, and employer notes.
- Saved jobs and preferences: saved job IDs and preference settings for alerts, digests, sharing profile with applications, and default search and posting settings.
- Newsletter: email address for weekly job updates if you opt in.
- Payment records: listing tier, amount, currency, and Stripe session and payment intent IDs.
- Usage and performance: aggregated analytics events and performance metrics from Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights.
How we use information
- Operate core features like job listings, internal applications, saved jobs, and account settings.
- Send transactional emails including one time passcodes and application confirmations.
- Review posts and edits to reduce scams and low quality listings.
- Process payments for Highlighted and Pinned listings through Stripe.
- Improve reliability and performance using analytics and speed metrics.
How applications are shared
When you apply to a job using Hired3 internal applications, we share your application materials with the employer who posted the role. This includes your email, resume, cover letter, answers, and application status. Candidate profile details are shared only if you enable the “share profile with applications” setting.
If you apply via an external link or email provided by an employer, your data is sent directly to that employer and is governed by their privacy practices.
File uploads and access controls
We store uploaded logos and resumes in Cloudflare R2. Logos are treated as public assets. Resumes and document files are protected by access checks and can only be viewed by the candidate, the employer for the relevant application, or via a short lived preview token. PDF resumes are limited to 10MB.
Cookies and browser storage
We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and store your consent choice. The auth cookie is httpOnly and short lived. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share limited data with service providers only to operate Hired3:
- Resend for transactional email delivery.
- Stripe for payments and checkout.
- Cloudflare R2 for file storage.
- Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights for usage and performance measurement.
Security
We use access controls, short lived tokens, and secure cookies to protect data. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage you to protect your email account and devices.
Retention and deletion
We retain data while your account is active and as needed to operate the service. One time passcodes expire after 10 minutes. You can delete your account from Settings, which removes your posts, applications, profiles, saved jobs, and preferences from our database. If you need a specific file removed, contact us.
Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)
- Contract: to provide the service, including accounts, job postings, and applications.
- Legitimate interests: to prevent abuse, secure the platform, and improve performance.
- Consent: for optional communications such as newsletters and non essential analytics where required.
- Legal obligations: to comply with tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements where applicable.

- Access, correction, and deletion of your personal data.
- Restriction or objection to processing in certain cases.
- Data portability for information you provided to us.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

Your rights (California)
We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). California residents may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information and may appoint an authorized agent to make a request on their behalf.

- Access and correction: request a copy of your data or update profile details.
- Deletion: delete your account from Settings or contact us for help.
- Marketing preferences: unsubscribe from newsletters using the link in the email.
International transfers
We may process data in different regions depending on where our service providers operate. For transfers from the EEA or UK, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
Changes
We may update this policy as Hired3 changes. We will update the date above when changes go live.
